Orange essential oil (Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil) is a strengthening, refreshing, strengthening and stimulating essential oil. It is uplifting for the emotions and helpful in maintaining a healthy circulatory system and encouraging healthy digestion. Orange essential oil promotes relaxation and is a useful deodorant. It has a fresh, sweet, citrus and tangy aroma. Orange essential oil originates from Israel and is extracted by cold expression or steam distillation of the fresh ripe or almost ripe outer peel. Orange essential oil is a member of the Rutaceae family and is also known as citrus sinensis, citrus aurantium var. dulcis, citrus aurantium var. sinensis, China orange or Portugal orange.
Orange essential oil blends well with lemon, clary sage, lavender, black pepper, cinnamon, clove bud, ginger, frankincense, sandalwood and vetivert.
Safety: Orange essential oil is non-toxic, non-irritating and non-sensitising. The oil is not considered to be phototoxic.
